Have planned a trip to Australia for two weeks, my flight in and out of Sydney. What is the best and most economical way to spend the two weeks?

My wife's two brothers r permanent residents of Australia. I m doing job in an institution for the last 22 yrs, 47 yrs old .No leave is due for me as I am on leave for the last one year.
