try www.whereis.com.au and type in Thornleigh in the suburb field, and choose NSW as the state. It will take you directly to where you want to go. Google Earth is good but you need to know what you're looking for to begin with. You can't just type in Thornleigh like you can with the site address I gave you because it won't find it.

What a bunch of dumb answers!! (Gemini girls answer might be alright though)
Thornleigh is a suburb in the Northern Suburbs of Sydney.
Either buying a road map of Sydney or getting a tourist map should do depending on what level of detail you want.
Online maps are a bit of an issue. Google Earth is obviously not going to give you the detail you want. Some of the banks (try StGeorge for instance) have ATM finders on their web sites which you can use as a map of any region you wan't. Alternatively you can get a bus route map from the Sydney buses website that shows in good detail all the streets in any area that Sydney buses operates. There are some other options but that's all I can think of at the moment.

Paul C's answer is probably the dumbest here! Why would you go on an ATM site or bus site to look at a particular area? Gemini_Girl's is the best. I've also used whereis. It's the easiest one around. Although the links in the answer before this one also work.
