I have four free days in Sydney and want to explore the "must sees". I'm up for anything outdoors and anything fun. Any tips on tour companies and/or places to go?

Explore the harbour, it is Sydney's most beautiful asset. You can jump on the Manly ferry from Circular Quay across to Manly, this takes about 30mins and is a great trip. Be sure to check out Manly Beach and wander down to Fairy Bower while you're there. Alternatively you can hire a kayak and paddle around Middle Head (probably also other locations too). Although Bondi Beach is Australia's most famous beach, Manly is nicer, as are several others such as Bronte, Coogee, Freshwater, and all the northern beaches. Bondi in my opinion is nothing special, but in four days you can fit it in and make up your own mind.
Obviously you need to check out the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge, which is easy to do from Circular Quay. The Botanic Gardens are only a short walk away too, and the Rocks, where you'll find galleries, restaurants, bars, weekend markets and Sydney's oldest neighbourhood. Do yourself a favour and splurge on drinks and/or dinner at the Park Hyatt, where the water laps up under the floor when the tide is high and you can watch the lights of the harbour and the Opera House as the sun goes down..... very nice! Most tourists go to Darling Harbour, which is in my mind a bit touristy and priced accordingly, but maybe worth a look. If you're feeling fit you can do the Bridge Climb, kind of expensive but from what I've heard worth the money and the sore calf muscles the next day! There are many interesting and diverse neighbourhoods in Sydney, but depending on how adventurous you are, you might like to stick to the beaten tourist track. If you would like more suggestions on good places to shop, eat etc, and would like to experience Sydney like a local would, just send me a message!

Ok definately the Harbour Bridge, the Opera House and the concrete jungles of the buildings in Sydney. Maybe Taronga Park Zoo that is really good. The Blue Mountains. But for me if you had more time , the central coast a place called "The Entrance".
I lived in Sydney for 36 years, now live in Perth. The city of Sydney does nothing for me. Another thougt would be maybe you could go to Homebush and see where the Olympic Games were held.
Have a good trip.

I love the Darling Harbour and I'm sure you will love it too. Go to the Sydney Opera House, Museum, Underwater World
If you like zoo, Taroonga Zoo is a very nice and if you have child/children it's a must.
Three Sisters in Katoomba is an exciting place to see and very scenic.
Circular Key is also a nice place to spend a day in Sydney.
If you have time you can explore places to see in Sydney, visit Australia.com for a more detailed look of Sydney and places of interests.
Have FUN

1 day to Blue Mountains.

Go to Australian Reptile Park, arriving at 9am, so you can pet and cuddle the roos.
Featherdale Zoo.

Walk over Sydney Harbour Bridge; don't bother paying $100+ to go to the top.

My daughter said go to the top of Sydney Tower; I think its boring.
