I'm a beginning Japanese student and thought it might be a bit of a challange(haha) to play some games or watch some shows that young Japanese children would to learn their basics, such as colours or numbers. Like... Seasame street in Japanese. Thanks!

I am travelling to Kyoto from feb. 13-21. I will be staying in a hotel, myself and my two children under the age of 6. I am planning to bring 300,000 JPY with me for food and bus transportation, but most of my activities are already paid for. Will this be enough money?

Hi!
We are planning to go for scuba diving from Japan, where we plan to go over the new year.
The candidate places are Okinawa, Guam or Saipan which all are up to 3 hours away.

We are really interested to go to Okinawa, but
1. I read Japanese dive shops might not have large size wetsuit for my partner (>180cm).
2. I understand the language but not my partner.

Is it better to go to guam, saipan where he also can communicate(English)? Also the water seem warmer there....

I still think our first option is Okinawa so I need to be convinced.
Has anyody been diving in Okinawa (maybe on one of the american diveshops in Oki where they might have L size gear?)? What did you like? Which of the islands in Oki should I go for? Is January too cold?

Many questions... I hope I get many answers!

I don't want to spend too much on the SHINKANSEN, so I thought I could probably travel overnight, to make it cheaper. Do I have to change buses in Tokyo?Or can I simply take a direct bus from here? Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks

I will be working in Japan for 3 months, where the dress code is conservative business professional. How many different suits will I need? (also, recommendations on what color/style of suits to buy would be good).

I often see questions like "do you like Japan?"or "I want to move to Japan, how is it like?".

Most of answers for these question are fairly positive, and many of repondents aren't transient fan. They aren't just anime and manga freaks, sushi lovers, wannabe a samurai or ninja and all that streotypes.

There exists so many attractive countries and cultures, I sometimes wonder why people haven't lose interest in this tiny country for long times.
If you still keep your interest in Japan, what causes that?

I am currently a sophomore university student from the United States. I'm majoring in international business and would like to start a major in Japanese. I'm seriously considering finishing up my academic career at a university outside of the U.S. Since I plan to learn Japanese I figure that a school in Japan would naturally be a great school to attend. There are three schools I'm currently looking into: University of Tokyo, Sophia University, and the International Christian University. For anyone who knows anything about any of these three schools I would greatly appreciate hearing what you have to say. I'd like to know stuff like which ranks highest, which is the easiest to get into and which is the best for me to attend considering my major. Any other useful information would also be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I have heard that they like regional items but not sure what from Orange County or CA they would like that is easy to travel with meaningful and not junk. I need to buy about 20 gifts half in about the $10-$15 range and half in the $25-50 range
