I'm a beginning Japanese student and thought it might be a bit of a challange(haha) to play some games or watch some shows that young Japanese children would to learn their basics, such as colours or numbers. Like... Seasame street in Japanese. Thanks!

The reason I'm looking for childrens shows and such is so I can watch it without the luxery of subtitles and to force myself to understand what they're saying. I've watched enough anime and that only helps so much. (Too advanced to completely understand without subtitles)

Kogepan is a good example of a show I'm looking for.

NHK Educational Channel would be OK.
They have some programs for kids.
Also they have one program for Japanese learners, I think.

NHK's "Kodomo no news" is good and you can learn about current affairs as you learn Japanese.

Try an anime... certain animes are aimed at younger kids so that could work ^_^

Good luck!
