...what would be something small/light/inexpensive and nice to bring along to give as a small gift to different local peoples that I meet along the way.

When I was in Thailand earlier this year I was with someone who had small sheets of stickers to give to the childern who were curious about us westerners, and it went over great. Any other ideas, perhaps for adults as well as the young ones?

also, I'm coming from the USA

Thank you,

cody

I am doing a project and I remember that when I went to Hong Kong there were all these posters telling people that there was a $1500 HKD littering/spitting fine all over the place. Does anyone know where (online) I can find a picture of one of these posters? Thanks!

For some people it might be the loss of a child, failed relationship, rejection, friend’s betrayal or something else. I would just like to know. Thanks.

Okay....I confess. I'm a health enthusiast.

I am going to China for 16 days next month and have concerns about what I am going to eat while there. There has been much press about tainted food, pesticide poisoning and poisoned fish. Not to mention the CDC recommending not to eat any raw vegetables, to drink only bottled water and to get immunized. Of course I primarily live on salads, nuts, tofu and fish. I have read there is a growing interest in Organic in China but that the label is often not regulated or it is counterfeit. So how am I supposed to know what I'm eating?

Does anyone have any experience with traveling to China, maintaining a fairly health diet and minimizing getting sick or exposed to food of questionable quality?

I will be visiting Beijing, Shanghai and Wuhan.
