... and you would never recover from it?

For some people it might be the loss of a child, failed relationship, rejection, friend’s betrayal or something else. I would just like to know. Thanks.

Let's see....

I won't experience the loss of a child since I don't have any children. I have had many failed relationships but they just made me stronger. I have been rejected on various occasions and I am still standing. I have been betrayed and I am still alive. Boy, I am stronger than I thought!

I will recover from almost anything life will throw at me. I have a very strong will to live.

I am a natural survivor.

Though the loss of family would count as the heaviest tragedy a man could suffer in this world, I cannot in all honestly say I will never recover from it.

I have lived half a lifetime away from family and country, and though permanently scarred in my brain, I'm still a living, breathing Grouch.

"completely break my spirit"..."never recover from it" - those are very final words...might as well be dead if that's the case...and if it's not my time yet, what then, suicide? I don't think so! Therefore, with the way your question was prefaced, I'd have to say "Nothing!" For as long as I'm alive and breathing on my own, I have to believe that "nothing can completely defeat me." There's always my faith to hang on to.

Nice answer, 'te...umiral na naman ang yabang mo (your inner child is showing again!...ha ha) Let's just hope they get your sublime message.

Demise of my loved ones. It will certainly break my heart and my spirit or will to live. I don't know. I am not sure if I will be strong enough to withstand this kind of heartrending situation. I lost my parents but I felt more for the loss of my mother and it still hurts when I remember her death. How much more painful will it be if it were one of my children or my grandchildren? I shudder even to think of it.

wow that's a powerful question, i cannot think of one single event that could do that more completely than the loss of ou nation, the United States of America. Many others would hurt, although the loss of country and what we represent to me, would crush me.

watersweet, your question too deep for nena....hmm, need to put on my thinking cap....i'll be back.

_______
back and i brought my thinking cap so here goes nothing...

All the situations you mentioned will be experienced by all men at one point or another. We have been besieged by tragedies since time immemorial and we will continue to undergo extreme emotional pain for centuries more. Such is life. But our Maker in His divine Wisdom has blessed us with the capacity to meet all of life's curve balls with serenity and grace. Our faith will see us through all the difficult moments in our lives. There should not be any breaking point for us. Temporary setbacks, yes. Complete breakdown of the spirit, no!!!

wow, that is a very good question, but losing my family and getting to live up to 120 may be what i don't want to see... living up to 120 is hard coz u get to see every one of ur family die, and it's not helpful when someone tells u "u'll get used to it" because it's not the same as everything else...i'm only 14, but i wouldn't want anything like tht happen to me
