I will be in Shanghai for 3 weeks and would love to
meet beautiful young ladies who are interested in
marrying a successful American Businessman.
Should I do anything before I go in preperation
and what should be my plan once I get there?

We are taught that girls customarily use "watashi" unless they want to sound really feminine (atashi) or are tomboys (boku). And of course, Japanese TV series would give us that impression too.

But I've heard from my Japanese friends that "boku" is actually a lot more common amongst girls than the media would have us believe. Besides, I have heard a few female Japanese exchange students using "boku", at least while talking between themselves.

So exactly how common is it for girls in Japan to use "boku"?

For teenagers and young adults? (i.e. 15-25)
For older adults? (less common, I'm assuming?)
And children? (perhaps even more common?)

Would it vary by region? Kansai vs. Kanto?

I have two Korean friends, one from Seoul and one from Daejeon. They are also friends with each other and joke around all the time.

The friend from Seoul tells me to learn Korean from the Daejeon friend. He says that the Daejeon accent is the prestige accent.

The friend from Daejeon tells me that the Seoul friend is just making fun of us and that the Seoul accent is standard.

So who is speaking the truth?

Are you shy to express yourself because you can't speak Mandarin or any local languages?

Or, you would just try your best to use body language or drawing whatever on notes....?

Or may be you just ignore them?

Or you "block" them?

What do you think??

This guy often apears here.
His answers are usually fairly good and I like them.
I also know his answers are often chosen as BA by askers...
But also he seems to vote himself with tons of accounts...
Well, actually I'm pretty sure he does since his BAs chosen by voters are not always great answers.

And I do not want cheaters to be around here...
Do other people do that things too?

In fact, I am VERY SUSPICIOUS of 'Yonsama's 'fame' in Japan. It is quite well known to Koreans that he gained 'some' fame in Japan. But when I see the pictures of his fans, why are they all old ladies?(-_-;;) I know that most of young Japanese don't follow him around much and even said that they won't let their mothers become his fans(wwww). And even in Korea, 'Yonsama' hasn't been famous for a long long time. Anyways, what makes 'Yonsama's fans so different from those of BOA for instance?

Who here loves Hong Kong?? The skyscraper, the view, the crowded scenes, the intense neon signs at night, and the busy streets of Mongkok?

What about the food? Great sea food and dim sum. Shopping in Causeway, Central, Langham Mall, and even at Sheung Shui?? Or maybe Harbor City at Tsim Sha Tsui??

The not as rush area such as Yuen Long, Tuen Mun, and Shatin with great places to explore? You can ride the KCR and the light rail from Yuen Long to Tin Tsui Wai!

To me, I love it!

I have the back of both of my legs covered. One tattoo is a Japanese design, a koi fish turning into a dragon, which is big and the other is Atlas, holding a globe. I know that a lot of places won't let people in with tattoos because of the taboo in Japan, but I've heard some baths don't care. I'm a 24 year old white guy from California, so I'm obviously not a Yakuza, but still understand I might have some difficulty. Any names of places that will not mind would be great. Also, what is the general opinion of the Japan's younger generation (25 and under) towards tattoos? I know overall they are still looked upon negatively, but it seems like younger people are more open and accepting. I want to live there eventually, but don't know if it will cause me problems. Since they are in an area that's easy to cover, I don't think it will be a huge issue, but I'm still concerned. I'm a corporate, business type, so I always dress nice, am very coureous and don't look like trouble.
