Can someone advise on the things to do or see in Beijing?

Places you should not miss -
1. Great Wall of China - you need to see it for yourself. Its hugh and awesome
2. Tiananmen square - biggest square in the world
3. The Forbidden City
4. Summer Palace
5. Underground City - where the communists used to hide and stay. There's even a silk factory in the under ground !
6. The World Park
My friend and I just came back 2 weeks ago. Really enjoyed ourselves although sometimes the food we had were not that satisfactory.
You should have a good time there.

The first 5 should be The Great Wall.
See the Back Lakes and the old part of Beijing just to the west of them. Nice walks there.
Get some Peking Duck
Go to Hard Rock Cafe at night

Forbbiden City, Heavenly Temple, Summer Palace, Great Wall, Prince Gong's Mansion, the most famous beijing duck resturant (my favourite).

Tian An Men Square
Forbidden City (I would skip it, jus tlook at it from the square)
Great Wall
Temple of Heaven (go to pearl market across the street)
Olympic Sites
Frangrant Hills (if you are there in the fall)

4. visit the cultural centers and museums
