Ello Little Penguin~
There's definitely a difference between
making love and having sex. Having sex
is entirely hormonal and just about getting
laid; if you must, it's about satisfying a need
you have (maybe even just wanting to do
it with some one you think is attractive and
nothing more). It's good, but for some people
making love is better.
Making love is the same as sex, it's
virtually doing the same thing, but the
difference is that you actually have feelings
for the person; feelings that are in depth
and that can be expressed through actions
(wordless). It's being with some one you
love and just sharing each other together.
It's probably got more meaning behind
it when two people can care for each other
so much that it isn't even about having
sex...it's just about being one.
(but two people in love can have sex
too~)

In the word itself - love as compared to sex. No emotions involved, no personal emotion or commitment. Having sex is just an activity one indulges - a means to a happy and satisfying release. Love making or making love is different because it entails an involvement of a human emotion, sometimes much deeper than one can ever understand. It is an act of expressing how one or both feel for each other - a happy means to a satisfying end.

love making is walking hand in hand under a beautiful harvest moon whispering sweet nothings to each other, giving chocolates or flowers for no special reason, showing the utmost respect for each other, traveling two hundred miles to take her dancing and to dinner then driving back, telling her at every opportunity how beautiful she is. Having sex, is the act for attempting to produce children, it is the short thrill action, it is not as some immature say,` more fun`, for did they but love their partners first they would have experienced all the fun and thrill of life imaginable.

Love making is something like having sex with the person you really love, and giving yourself to that person, and making the both of you as one..
Having sex is just the thing you do when you are tempted to, even though you don't know, you don't love, or you don't care with that person you are having sex with...

Making love is the act of sharing emotions and bonding on an emotional/spiritual level. It can involve sex but does not need it.
A nice moonlit walk, while holding each others hands. Looking into each others eyes, showing how you love each other is just as profound and qualifies as making love. At least this is in my opinion.

Yes there is. Love making is when you do it with someone you care for and love. Having sex is doing it just for the fun of it.

Love making is sharing and experiencing a very intimiate bonding with that speical someone. Having sex is a quick 30 second intercourse with some guy in the alley, with whom you probaby never met or meet again.
