My fiancee just had foot surgery and is traveling to visit her parents. We have a rented wheelchair. Can we take this through security at San Jose Airport? Or do we need to check it with Airline and have their folks provide wheelchair assistance. If that is required, how do we schedule it?

This may be a very strange question, but please answer if you know. I will be flying on Lufthansa next month on a 747 out of SFO. Does anyone know if the aircraft has adjustable air flow above each seat? (IE: Are there knobs that you can turn to adjust the amount of air blowing down on you?) I flew last year on British Airways, and there was no way of adjusting the air. It was unbearably hot and stuffy the whole 10 hour flight.

I'll be traveling internationally out of JFK next week. I wanted to know how the security and overall experience was like for anyone in the past month or so. I usually travel with AA, but got a good deal with Delta this time. Are they allowing toiletries on carryon luggage now or are those restriction still in place. I'd like to keep my contact lense solution with me. And how about electronics. I'd miss my Ipod on the plane and would rather not put my camera in the checked in suitcase.

When you fly on a commuter aircraft with a baby does the baby fly for free - do you need to purchase a ticket - if so does the little one get a seat - do they need to be in a child seat like in a car.

my wife who is overly obese was on a flight from boston to paris. as she is 34 stone she had to pay for two seats instead of one. halfway thru the flight she recieved her free meal and complimentary drink. she informed the stewardess that as she had paid for two tickets she was entitled to 2 free meals and 2 complmentary drinks. while i try my best to curtail my wifes horrendous eating habits, i totally agree with her on this occasion. as the stewardess refused to give my wife her second meal that she was entitled to is it the stewardess i sue or the airline itself. unfortunately since this incident happend 6 months ago my wife has now passed on. her funeral cost me $10,000 + ( the size of her coffin, a jcb to dig the hole and the tons of fried chicken to feed her monsterous sized family at the wake.) i could do with the bucks to pay off the huge debt fat ***** left me with. what do you think????

My pup will be flying with us on a 2 hour direct flight for Christmas. Does anyone have experience with in-cabin travel with animals? Do the dimensions that airlines list refer to hard sided kennels? We will use a soft-sided one, and he just fits into the dimensions that they specify. I just want to make sure we'll be okay.

i would like to depart on christmas day from california, 1-3 days difference wont matter before the date, but the prices im seeing now are over half a grand!
