I will be flying out soon, and my long-time girlfriend will be meeting me at the end of my flight. I'd like to bring her roses, but I'm not sure if or how I can bring them on a plane. Any suggestions would be great!

(I'm a flight attendant) Wet several paper towels and wind them around bottom of the stem and then wrap the stems and wet paper towels with plastic wrap go around several times so that the water doesn't drip out. You can then put it in a sandwich bag and zip it up as much as you can. You'll have to put them on the scanner at security but put them on one of the big plastic tubs that the have as you go through security and they will be fine. By the way, flight attendants are suckers for flowers, they may take them from you during the flight and keep them in galley. Have a great flight and I hope your girlfriend likes the flowers.

I'm assuming you're flying within the same country, as you may get stopped by agricultural customs if it's an international flight.

You'll have to box them up and put them in the hold - you can get little canisters of water to put over the stems that won't leak.
