I am trying to purchase an air line tickets through Continental air-line because they seemed to have the best price. However i have been told that there were understand bankrupcy protection. Is that true? Please help. Thanks.

Absolutely not. I am a travel agent and Continental is one of the strongest airlines existing right now. They do have the best prices and the best customer service, that is why they keep growing.

They are not under bankruptcy protection. And even if they were, that does not necessarily mean they are going under right away. Continental was in bankruptcy protection probably fifteen years ago and as someone said, they're one of the strongest airlines out there now (and they're pretty good too). United just emerged from bankruptcy after being in it for well over two years as well (even though they're a terrible airline). So bottom line = bankruptcy protection does not mean they're going out of business at any moment.

And Continental is NOT under bankruptcy protection.

airlines are always doing that to screw there creditors, not uncommon and no big deal
