we have something called "ex-lax" (diarrhoea - sh1t thru the eye of a needle) -
just might move the staff ? . . .

It depends what staff member you ask. LAX staff members are trained to be firm (not rude, mean or unfriendly) with passengers if the passenger is not cooperating. You can't say it's all staff members just because you had a bad experience. I've had some really great staff members help me out. They were really nice, happy, helpful and funny. I would not generalize the approach of the staff at LAX.

Unless a janitor screwed you over lately, likely the person you ran into works for a particular airline, and NOT LAX.
I find that the "staff at LAX" is very helpful. I also have a shiny black card with one of the airlines. So, no, I don't hate their service.

Seriously...
It's a flippin airport. What do you expect? Have you been to Boston Logan? Detroit DTW? Have you gone thru customs at any major airport other than LAX? LAX, in my experience, isn't any better or any worse in this respect than any other major US airport.

yeah , i experienced this a couple of years ago flying BA to heathrow. A very rude and portly female security officer insisted that my suitcase was too heavy and insisted it be re weighed, despite my protests that i had weighed it and it was within limits, she was so damm rude. "excuse me mammmm" very condescending. needless to say the case was spot on. I found the whole check in procedure was like we were the bloody Taliban not their bloody allies, i know and accept airport security to be strict but they were over top both in their defencive attitude and suspicion, shame i never flew Taliban International would have been better treated
