I am impressed with your opinions on the Messianic Judaism questions and I wanted to encourage both of you not to get discouraged by the aggressive users in this section. You are both good contributors to Yahoo answers in this section. People like both of you are a good example of how we Jews really respect other the religion of others.

Question: How are we as Jews affected by the Messianic movement???

What have they done for many of our people to be so hateful in showing spite towards them???

'Hopeless' has accused me of being racist because I posted a question saying that I resented messianic jews telling me that I would one day 'be open to Jesus'.

I pointed out in my post that no Jewish person believes that Jesus was the messiah. I then removed the question because I realised that it may just provoke an argument and I didn't want to do that.

Now 'Hopeless' tells me I am 'racist'.

Your thoughts? What do you feel about messianic judaism?

Why are non Jews allowed to tell Jews how to define their religion?

I am sure there are so many expats in the area that are looking to meet people. Is there some sort of way to bring these people together. I am a very outgoing person and I am having trouble meeting people of similar interests. I am enjoying meeting new people from around the world, but it would be nice to meet at least some westerners as well. (Ages 21-30). Loking to meet people to play sports or go to clubs, or just hang out, etc.

I have found so many random websites that advertise maybe 4-5 flats each average at best. Is there any better central place online or otherwise that I can find a good flat to share?

Did we really managed to turn our Egypt section into a chat room. To tell you the truth, I like it better like that instead of cold, dull, silly other sections around her, excluding Lebanon.
That proves one point that we, Egyptians, are bonded until the day of judgement as promised by Mohamed (PBUH).
Eid Mubarak (Not Him).

You are travelling with one of your two children and got into an accident involving a minibus carrying ten children, aged more or less as yours. You are flung out of the car but sustain minor injuries. Both vehicles catch fire and there are these loud cries from children in the two vehicles. Given the rapidity of the fire, you can only rescue people in either of the two vehicles.

Who would you rescue and why?

In the bushes near Kasr Moussa and Beitteddine in the Mount Lebanon area and in 3akkar...what is more horrible is that it seems they were set on purpose.
They're getting closer to the houses and the people are evacuating their homes...as if we needed this...

Mizrachim have traditionally been quite hostile to Arabs.

Strange , really, when you consider that the Arabs hosted them for centuries and have probable blood ties, as well as lingusitc ones ( Arabic language).

Moreover, like Israeli Arabs, Mizrachim have been discriminated against by a seemigly racist Ashkenazi elite that despises them and treats them as serfs to do all the work they don't want to do.

So, rather than vote for neo-fascist parties like Likud and Shas, why don't Mizrachim and Arabs unite to rule Israel. They both make up 56% of the Israeli electorate. That way they can put an end to 60 years of Ashkenazi rule.

What do yuo think?

We are now in the last ten days of Ramadan, have you made the best of it? As special as these days are, it makes me sad that Ramadan has passed so quickly. I just wanted to be the first to wish you all a happy Eid, though it may be a bit early.

Today [ Tuesday,20th Ramadan /// 2nd October] .. in Egypt
is the starting day of the
~*~ LAST 10 DAYS OF RAMADAN ~*~

and Today ...... is the
~*~ First ODD NIGHT ~*~

so... just a reminder :
Though all days of Ramadan are full of blessings and rewards, its last ten days hold a special status reflected in the recommendations and practices of the Messenger of Allah, Muhammad [ salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam], and his companions.

so, all of us should try HARD to benefit from these last 10 days:
*Praying taraweeh .... as well as ... tahajod
*Performing I`tikaf in the Masjid (seclusion in the Mosque)
[for men ....... if possible]
*Seeking Laylatul-Qadr (the Night of Decree)

We pray to Allah All Mighty Most Merciful to bless us this Ramadan by witnessing Laylatul-Qadr ... Ameen
