The fact that you need to ask this question, tends to make me think that you should not quit your day job.

Telemarketing is not always the way to go, not at the Telkom rates anyway! Marketing for new business, well maybe hang around the Registrar of Companies offices, new centers coming up or just check out the local news papers.

I used to have a whole team of telemarketers, and found that proposed new clients are interested about the new stuff that are cool, but not to buy for themselves.

There are a movement against Telemarketing due to everyone jumping on that bandwagon.

South Africa is getting on the Internet thing, but not as dedicated as overseas.

Let's get it straight. . .you are starting a marketing company but do not know how to promote it. Poor man, how are you going to convince anybody that you are qualified to handle their products.
May I suggest Marketing 101 at your local College or Trade School.
Cold call. . . .I hate to tell you what my response is when I answer the phone and it is a Telemarketer trying to sell me something.

If a marketer asks a question like this, please stay FAAAAR away from me. (I would be wary to do business with you even if I know you, because you seem not to know how to proceed.)

If you cannot market yourself, then how would you market my/my company?

RESEARCH THE LOCAL CUSTOMS AND HERITAGE AND MAKE YOUR ADS REFLECT THEM. ALSO, MAKE SURE THERE IS A NEED FOR THE PRODUCT THAT YOU ARE PROMOTING
