It is amazing just how quickly the time has passed. When I look back and think how I was counting down the days with a secret dread I feel so foolish.
It has been an incredible experience and a defining point in my journey to Islam.I feel that I have gained so much it is not just that your mind seems clearer with fasting, its so many other things, such as reading the Quran, saying special prayers and duas, the ifter feasting with all the Egyptian relis, meditation and working a morning at the free kinder we fund.(we, being a group of expats ).
Its like Easter,Christmas and New Years in Australia all rolled into one and more.
A special thanks to all my wonderful sisters in Islam for your support and advise. It was not only welcomed but through it I have found some truly wonderful women who I only knew as other answerers before Ramadan.
I am so proud of being able to feel I am really a Muslima now and I know of all the Ramadans I will observe during my life inashaAllah I will always hold the memories of this one, my first very dear to my heart.
I wish you all a very special and happy Eid.

Yes Farah, it passed very quickly and we hardly noticed the count of days. Anyway, let's hope for ourselves to catch next Ramadan with a better soul and a stronger will.
Thanks for the reminder and Happy Eid.

it did pass very quickly, i too enjoy ramadan, only time of the year when we all eat together, i mean here at home, usually each has his own timetable that rarely coincides with the other, ok there are fridays, but they aren't enough, just 1 day in the week, but a whole month of sharing is beautiful, socializing, all the nice programs on tv, etc, you know what i mean, i wish all year long was ramadan in spirit, and happy 3eid to you fara7, thx :)
