I've heard from numerous sources its very dangerous, of course, no the safest city in the world, is it really that dangerous? Is it possible to visit alone at 18, or would taking an escorted tour be the best option?

I am a Canadian, holding a valid Quebec driver license . For some reason, I need to drive my father's car which is registered in New Jersey to Montreal and stay there for some time. Do I need other documents than my Quebec driver license , Canadian passport, the car's registriation and isurance card? How long can I drive this car in Canada?
