Hi american guys!!!!!!!! I'm an Italian girl and next year I'd like to spend one month in the States during the summer. I've already checked some schools in California.. I've found a good school in TEMECULA, california. Do you know anything about this city? Is it good or not so good? Which places would you advise me to spend a good month? (also not in california)!

Bye bye guys.. thanks

You may prefer either the San Diego area or the San Francisco bay area in the summer. Both have a more Mediterranean climate. The greater Los Angeles area has much more things to see and do, but in the summer time it is hotter and more crowded. It is also very expensive.

While you're on the "west coast" you might want to plan to spend a couple days in Las Vegas, Nevada. See a show, and all the lights, and while in Las Vegas include one day for a bus tour of Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona. Welcome to the United States, and enjoy your stay

PS: Your written English is perfect. Much better than that of many Americans.

Temecula is awful. I had the misfortune of living there for about four months when I was 19. I don't know anything about the school you'd be attending, but the town is filthy, tiny, closed-minded, hot, and stifling--one of those California desert towns that only exists because it was cheap to build there. There is nothing distinctive or redeeming about Temecula, and it takes at least 45 minutes to drive to anyplace else worth visiting from there. You'd do better closer to the coast, maybe the San Diego or Ventura County areas. Have you considered Santa Barbara?

Really depends on how much you would like to spend. My advice would be to look at huntington Beach. Rent is relatively innexpensive, great freeway access to get to Los angeles or san diego and within 15 minutes of the beach. If you are willing to go up to 10 miles from the beach, West garden Grove is a nice area too. It is about 7 miles from the be3ach, better freeway access to many more places, about half an hour from los angeles, 15 minutes to disneyland, nearby malls and great resteraunts. The people are pretty nice there too. Tsoe are my two recomendations. Temecula not a great place to live, but an awesome place to visit for a day. Too hot or cold, depending opn the season and a tight knit community, not a fun place to stay.

If you can afford it check out Ojai. Even our governor Arnold S. was checking into real estate there. But Temecula is a nice town, with a good sense of community. Hot during the summer months, but it's not that far to the beach, so no problem there.

I've got a friend living in nearby Wildomar, and I love going to visit her. Good luck!

Temecula is a good city, but I wouldn't recommend coming here for vacation purposes. I would go to San Diego, about 1 hour south from there. It's beautiful and there's lots to do there!

Temecula is pretty fun. It still has kind of a small town feel to it compared to down here in San Diego (about 40min-1hr away). It can be pretty hot in the summer.
It's the local wine region though, so if you enjoy wine, it's a good place to be.
You'll have a lot of fun down here!

Temecula is an up and coming great town. But it is very hot in the summer. All inland areas are hot. If you don't mind the heat, then great, go to Temecula. Its a fun place to visit. And its an upper middle class place.
