when you travel to another country to perform in a chore who pays for the travel?

I was just wondering if I am asked to travel to Japan to sing with a group of 50, who pays for it?

I assume you mean choir. Usually the participants (singers) pay all or part of the cost of the trip. Unless the group has fundraised like crazy so that the singers don't have to pay! Definitely do it if you can - it will be such an awesome experience! Make it work.
