I'm going on a vacation w/ my parents and we're going to Va and NC -- just wanting to know if anyone can share w/ me any nice scenic rides that go thru the farm country/mountains as well as if there are any nice places to visit/parks or anything that would be good to go to in both of those states and do for about a week???

Is it better to stay in the downtown area or the burbs (taking the metro to DC). Only there for a few days. Would like a safe place but don't want to pay a lot.

HI! I'm planning on going on a cruise on Jan., 2007. Leaving from Galveston, TX. I'm not sure which cruise line is better (carnival, or Royal Caribean). There will be 4 adults(two couples) and the ages are between 22-26. This will be our 1st cruise ever and we all would like it be memorable. If ya could help me and give me tips about both and what differences are between the ships it would really help me out alot on making a decision. Thanks for your time!

Well since I started a new job, I don't have any vacation time. I'm thinking of going on a long weekend getaway on labor day weekend. I live in the middle of Ohio, but would like to leave after work friday, drive no more than 4-5 hours and have a nice get away with my wife. Anybody know of good places to go.

I did an advance search for "South African" and got a lot of bad or negative statements and question on Yahoo Answers. I also noticed that none of you guys replied to any of this. Why is that? I have to take up a long flight for more than 26 hrs. I am an Insulin dependent Diabetic patient. Am I allowed to carry the disposable insulin needles in my hand baggage. Last time my nail cutter was not allowed when they checked my hand baggage at Singapore airport.
