How long (in centimeters) should a snowboard be for a 5 feet 6 inches (130 pounds) 13 year old boy?

I'll be going on my first snowshoeing outing in a couple of weeks. I need advice on clothing/gear. I bought an insulated parka with a hood and some ski gloves, but I am unsure on the lower body clothing/pants. Do I buy what's called "powder pants" and cover my jeans? Or do I buy insulated ski pants and wear those over a pair of leggings? We will probably be snowshoeing on fairly easy trails/mostly flat ground. Other questions include winter boots v. using hiking boots inside the showshoes and short v. long gaiters. Thanks for any advice.

Its kind of like snowboarding on pavement. imagine a longboard with extra wheels in the middle of the trucks that are closer to the pavement so you can carve and go sideways to stop. I just bought one and i want to get some input. they are pretty sick though. go to freebord.com and check out the videos

last year one could find curling on just about every weekend, between, TSN, CBC, Sportsnet etc...

I want to start figure skating and I'm 13. How long does it take to master all the basic moves of figure skating, and what are they? Also, how long does it take for a skater to be good, not EXTREMELY good, but you know, all the basic jumps and spins. =D

Ive been looking at the grenade dk punishers. I heard that grenades look great but arent very functional, meaning warmth and durabilty. Any specific pair would be a lot of help, or if you have a review on Grenade.

I have mastered my Waltz, and want to move on. What is the next jump you learned? I can get in the air high enough to do a full 360, but can't land it.
P.S. I'm not using my toepick on that one jump!

I'm a beginner skier; I’ve been only 3 times. Every time I've rented skis so never thought twice about what size they were!
I was given skis from a friend (used skis) the boots fit well, nice and snug, but how do I know if the actual skis are the right fit??

I'm about 5'5 and weigh 105 lbs.... by knowing this information, would someone be able to tell me what size skis I would need? ....I'm going skiing this weekend, I need to figure out if I can use the skis that were given to me, or rent some.

Hi. I have a set of skis poles and boots we found in a closet in our new home in Chattanooga, TN. I want to sell them but also (obviously) want to get a fair price for them as well. The poles are scratched up at the tips, but the skis and boots look barely used at all. These are made for a petite woman. The poles say "TECNOpro" on them, and I think the size is 44" (it is very faded.) The skis say "Sport DYNASTAR" on them, and the only other defining mark on top is "S137" on the boot clips. The edges of both skis say "V 140 7351268", and I am guessing that is a serial number of some sort. The boots are size USA 7, EURO 6, and say "DALBELLO" on the side, as well as "CARVEX" and "M39X". Near the heal, there is "286 MM", and on the back of the ankle there is "MATRIX Diva DESIGN". FYI, these will eventually be going on craigslist here in Chattanooga and also down in Atlanta. I'm going ice skating for the first time with my girlfriend and I wanna know if its easy the first time on the ice. I used to rollerblade so I probably have the balance, but I'd imagine it's a lot different with blades on the ice. Is it easy to learn?
