Is it easy to ice skate?

I'm going ice skating for the first time with my girlfriend and I wanna know if its easy the first time on the ice. I used to rollerblade so I probably have the balance, but I'd imagine it's a lot different with blades on the ice. Is it easy to learn? I don't wanna make a fool out of myself in front of my girlfriend lol

I learnt to ice skate before I rollerblade so I find ice skate a lot easier than rollerblading. But some of my friends who learnt rollerblading first told me that ice skating in a bit harder to learn but your rollerblading background does help you with your balance. But stopping on ice is different from stopping on rollerblades so that probably needs some practice so dont skate too fast and can't stop. My friend who rollerblades has this habit on stopping with the 'heels' of the skate only to realise there is no 'stopper' there like in rollerblades. Personally, I find that ice skating is a bit more slippery and you can turn faster and make sharper turns.

If u r good a rollerblading then I'm shour that u will be ok at ice skating. But i'm hopeless at it but that is because i hav a bad sence of balence.

Is just about the same just try not to lift up your feet from the Ice cause you'll get tired faster.

You'll be fine. If you are cordinated it will be pretty easy. You need to have a decent amount of strength in your ankles "no weak ankles" but you'll be sore the next day for sure. LOL..

You will do fine. It is a lot of fun! It might take you a little bit to get the hang of it but it will be way worth it! Good Luck! And have Fun.

not easy but if you can blade you'll be okay within 10 minutes. just don't focus on not succeeding and have fun.
