Hi. I have a set of skis poles and boots we found in a closet in our new home in Chattanooga, TN. I want to sell them but also (obviously) want to get a fair price for them as well. The poles are scratched up at the tips, but the skis and boots look barely used at all. These are made for a petite woman. The poles say "TECNOpro" on them, and I think the size is 44" (it is very faded.) The skis say "Sport DYNASTAR" on them, and the only other defining mark on top is "S137" on the boot clips. The edges of both skis say "V 140 7351268", and I am guessing that is a serial number of some sort. The boots are size USA 7, EURO 6, and say "DALBELLO" on the side, as well as "CARVEX" and "M39X". Near the heal, there is "286 MM", and on the back of the ankle there is "MATRIX Diva DESIGN". FYI, these will eventually be going on craigslist here in Chattanooga and also down in Atlanta. Thank you!

It will be difficult to answer your question without any knowledge of the year of the ski. Dynastars, brand new, top of the line, go for about $1500. The numbers on the side refer to the size - V 140 means that it is 140 centimeters long, which is about the right size for a woman about 5 feet tall...IF they are shaped skis. The best you can probably get with those skis, as long as they are tuned and stuff, is $100. They sound used, which brings the value down alot, plus the bindings are already on them, which also detracts from the price alot, since the bindings sound like, to me, to be non-adjustable.

The boots are a decent brand, Dalbello, but the boot is probably worth $25. If they are the ones I am thinking about (pink and white?), then you will have issues finding someone to buy them. Those boots, to be honest, had alot of issues with the buckles. My sister had a pair and it lasted her a single season.

The poles, regardless of what brand they are, will probably be able to be sold for $5 or less. They sound like they are in bad condition, and the only taker would be someone who desperately needs poles. People prefer clear, bright poles - if you are ever injured skiing, the poles make for a great marker to the uphill skiers.

I'd say the total cost for your find may be in the $150 range. Best way to know? Bring them to a local ski store and see what they say. They can tell you what year the skis are, and how much they generally go for. They can also tune them for you.

I mostly agree with the first answer:

I'm guessing that since the edges of the ski have the size and serial number stamped in them, they are VERY old skis. I haven't seen that for a long time. If the skis are long and skinny, they are worth nothing, throw them away. If they are shaped (fatter at the tip and tail), you may be able to get around $50 - $100 for the skis.

Even a gently used boot will go for no more than $50...so you have to look at the boot and make that call.

Poles are pretty worthless for selling, I would just include them for free if somebody buys the whole kit and kaboodle. Most used poles are under $5.

Between $100 and $150, if the skis are shaped. If they aren't, you can list it of course, but nobody is going to buy it unless you go $20 for the lot, and you would be lucky even then!

It relies upon on the position you're. some parts have ski swaps at community extreme colleges. also try C's record and be conscious what the community market is for them. i purchased a pair about that length with bindings some months in the past for $2 hundred, more effective stepped ahead layout and in consumer-friendly words 5 years previous. I doubt they're worth that a lot because the technologies has replaced extensively contained in the previous 4 years.
