kind of depends. if it didnt come tuned up then i would say definitely get a full board tune up and depending on what you are doing then get it waxed accordingly. im on my schools race team so i have to get my board waxed once a week for my races. but if your going to be doing the terrain park a lot ask them to file down your edges a bit and stuff....

It shouldn't need it, but if you have some at home then why not but if you didn't buy it customized then you should go get the edges filed and make sure your bindings are correctly angled for your body type.

sometimes they come waxed, but if it didn't come waxed then wax it. also wax it every 3 to 4 times you go out for best performance

You don't NEED to wax it first, but it would be much better if you did.
