Things aren't looking so good in the east coast right now. However since this new cold snap has come through, most resorts have been able to blow a good amount of snow on their slopes. I'd hold out til the last day you can cancel and check weather.com for a 10-day forecast.

I have a trip planned for Wisp a week before, so I know your pain.

The whole East coast is sucking atm, especially the mid-atlantic. However, Snowshoe is doing better than most east coast resorts. Because of this, when I was there a couple weeks ago, it was packed. Lift lines were over an hour, and there were too many people on the runs to have a good run. Check their web site www.snowshoemtn.com and you should be able to check the conditions. It was better than nothing, but WAY too crowded, Much more crowded than Vail and Breckenridge when I went there last week. Good luck!
