Has anyone been skiing up in the Northeast? I'm interested in going but I'm not sure where there are good conditions? If you have any insight or personal experience that would be nice!

I live in New Hampshire and I'm an alpine racer, so I'm on the slopes 5-6 times a week. sadly its been a slow snow year but the best conditions are definitely in Vermont, i would suggest Okemo. Ive been up there a few times and they always have great conditions no mater the weather.

i live in the north east. right now, it's very warm and conditions are either sloppy or way too icy. i was going to go skiing for MLK weekend but conditions were terrible. it's an on and off season this year - we've had some great weeks and some melted, crappy slush weeks. try sunapee in New Hampshire or Stowe in Vermont. Both great areas and good snowmaking. i'm not a big fan of eastern skiing - i love vail and BC and Jackson - but those are the best northeastern places in my oppinion.

also: try Killington in VT

I live here in Pennsylvania. Unfortunately the weather in this part of the country has been very screwy when it comes to the temperatures. Just this week many of the ski resorts near me have opened up (week ending friday 1/12/07). I dont know what the conditions are farther north like in killington Vt. But i am just going to say to check websites or call the resorts you are interested in visiting. They would know best.

FINALLY - we just got some good snow up here.

Killington is my favourite - although no night skiing it has a great night club called the Wobbly Barn.

I highly recommend it.
