I'm doing a triathlon this saturday (5 Aug) and I got into a bike accident and I have major road rash all over. I need to get some pool time in before the race so I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to cover up the wounds. I would also like any recommendations for a cover up during the race, I'll be wear wet suit but my leg will be exposed and I don't want it to get infected. PLEASE HELP!

I would like to know how safe is it to swim with sharks in aquariums? Many aquariums offer this activity but what kind of protective equipment do people get when they enter the pool? I have seen a promotional video of Sydney aquarium and these sharks are not baby nor miniature sharks as I would have thought. Someone told me they take their teeth out but that doesn`t sound right either.

I plan a holiday to Australia, we will stay close to the ocean. I can swim very well, but I've never tried surfing. I found a possibility to take lessons, but I'm afraid I won't get any further then struggling for the whole holiday. Any chance it can be fun anway ? I live in Singapore, so I have no chance to practise when I'm back home.

My friend is out of shape, smokes a pack and half a day, played 1 year of waterpolo in high school, and now is 24. He swims in a pool probably 4-5 times a year.

Do you think he can tread water for an hour??

I lived all my life in my house 5 blocks away from an olympic size pool and a diving 5 meter deep diving pool with a 10 meter platform. A lot of people get impressed I can swim 5 km without stopping, or how fast I can swim, or how I can reach the bottom of the 5 metter deep pool, or me diving from the 10 meter platform. Very often, people ask me to teach them to swim or dive, but I can't. I have no idea how I breathe, I don't know how I float, I don't know how to I do diving postion, I just do it. My parents took me to the pool while I was in diapers, it's like walking, I can't remember ever learning. I have some vague memories of me at 7 years old diving from the 10 meter, but I have no idea how I got over the fear most people get, or how exactly did I learn the technique.

How can I learn to teach swimming?
