I was thinking about buying a $20 knife from Wal-Mart. What is the difference between a $20 knife and a $60 knife? What makes an expensive knife expensive?

OK. I need to get a hand gun for protection at home. I want something that if I need to use it, it will do damage-no matter how bad my aim is. I am not experienced, but will be getting lessons, etc. Is semi-auto better for me or a revolver?

I have always used remington and they seem to do well at short ranges,my rifle is zeroed for 100 yards and is very accurate but just doesn't have the killing power.I know that winchester and hornady have some cartridges on the market.what is your opinion????

I think this rifle is a standard carbine--it has an octagonal barrel, the caliber is .38-55, serial number 69155, and it is in very good condition. According to one online source it was manufactured in 1896. My great-grandfather bought it around 1900 and it's spent most of the last 5 decades in closets.

What does a 9mm bullet do? I have a friend that was shot in the chest, I guess point blank, 15 times. I can't imagine what that did to her, and I've never been able to bring it up to ask. Her husband is in prison for life, of course. But did it blow her apart? I know the first one pretty much killed her. But, was her chest blown apart, or just small holes, or what?

I just need to know. She was only 34.

My friend found a single stack 9mm stainless steel pistol in his aunt's attic. It must have been belonged to the previous home owner. On the side it states "Catron", "9 mm", "Military and Police" and no serial # (manufactured without it). It has a fixed barrel and there is no play when you rack the slide. When retracting the slide only the rear portion of the slide moves in order to cycle the cartridge. It is missing the magazine and what would appear to be the safety. Has anyone ever heard of this pistol. If so, we need to see if we can get parts for it and try to determine it's value.
