I have never fixed a venison roast before. Can anyone give me some ideas on how to prepare one?

Cook it like you would an ordinary beef roast, but put it in a slow cooker or crock pot.*

Same as a regluar roast, only you need to spend a bit more time tenderizing or perhaps cook it in a pressure cooker.

I soak mine in buttermilk overnight and let the enzymes go to work on the gamey flavor. Then clean off the buttermilk and marinate in Dale's sauce for about an hour before cooking.

I just use taters, carrots, and onions with a little bit of flour at the end to thicken it up.

Best of luck!

Cut it up into strips and make jerky out of it.
