Most quality built rifles will give you this kind of accuracy. I would personally suggest the Remington model 700 chambered in .308. This will give you a great kill range with very manageable recoil. It is also the same chambering and action that the US Military uses in some of their long range rifles like the M24 SWS (Army Sniper rifle), or the M40A1 (The Marines' Sniper rifle).

More important than the rifle you will be using, however, is your shooting technique. A 100 yd shot is not easy, let alone a "300-1000" yd shot. You will need a ton of consistent practice to get to know your weapon well enough to make these kinds of shots. You will need to have a knowledge of ballistics and the effects of weather on the flight path of your bullet to even hope to hit a target at 1000 yards.

You're not going to find a gun with that kind of range and accuracy. You need a rifle (don't use the terms interchangeably). At least .30 caliber. Most any deer rifle (typically a .30/.30) will do fine.

1,000 yards is quite a haul and it's hard to hold the rifle steady to squeeze off the shot. Just FYI: the record is 2,640 yards by a military sniper using a .50 caliber rifle specially made for sniping.

my first thought was a .50 caliper, but if you have some free time do some rearch and read up alittle bit about carlos hathcock he was a sniper back in vietnam. he held alot of shooting records-also most of his shots in the miitary where made with a 30-06 from 700-1300 yards. he also won thousand yard matches with a 300 win. mag. long range has little to do with caliber selection alot to do with experience and markmanship, you could give the flatest/fastest shooting rifle to some joe blow from the streets and they are not gonna hit **** at 500 yards. where as an experiened marksman will make a shot with half the gun at twice the distance, there is no substitue for practice

certainly in case you're speaking the m44 carbine then you particularly've much less selection than the familiar rifle. yet a 300 backyard shot with accuracy is achieveable with the carbine. the familiar rifle has the potential to hit an entire sized, familiar objective at one thousand yards, yet no, that's no longer useful to think of of it as with the flexibility to seek with it at that selection. i might could desire to assert that a 4 hundred- 450 backyard shot on a great pastime animal with an accurized MN is approximately max, with 350 being greater real looking. that's to no longer say that adult adult males weren't killed at plenty greater effective distances with them in the process the conflict. To get tack using accuracy from a MN which became made on kit that became sub familiar, and at a time while fabric became no longer the main suitable is going to take a great form of artwork, and not in all probability well worth it, once you should purchase an exceedingly effective, modern looking rifle for much less. no less than you may could desire to change the straight away bolt shelter with the downturned kit so which you will then setting up a scope mount. i might additionally setting up it into between the substitute monte carlo form shares and grind off the front internet site etc. ninety% of them have unfavourable barrels, so which you will never get severe accuracy out of one. yet you should get ideal accuracy. I shoot open web content with one on the 300 backyard gong with great fulfillment. Nagants and different firearms are no longer bought direct from an internet source, you should flow via an FFL broking or a C&R broking. %. up a duplicate of shotgun information at barnes and noble or different e book shops and look via it. there are lots of them on the industry. shoot risk-free

the one i can't afford.seriously the others are right it isn't as much a matter the gun as it is the person behind it.it takes months of practice to be able to accurately shoot at something beyond 500 meters.the rifle will make quite a bit of difference.if you are serious enough start looking into something of a high end rifle like a chandler,chey-tac,surgeon,sako-tikka,or the like.plan on learning to hand load ammo and spending lots of money on brass, powder, bullets, and primers not to mention range time.1000 yard ranges can be very hard to find.you will definitely need to look into a rifle chambered in something upward of a .30-06 springfield.good luck and good shooting!

most of the 30 cal rifles will work but the attention needs to be focused on making the rifle in question as accurate as possible
trigger work stabilize the action
float the barrell
then the hardest part is to work on your shooting technique
a 1000 yard shot is verydifficult and requires much practice and skill

Hell, a bubble gun can shoot that distance accurately if the shooter knows what they are doing.

Less focus on the weapon and more on the shooter.
