Outdoor Recreation - February 2007

AR -15's are chambered for the .223 or 5.56x45.This is not a question I'm just tired of hearing people saying that it fires a .222.

It was supposed to have been -15 today but it sure did not feel like it. SSSSSSoooooo, I got in my wheelchair and wheeled down to the store. Riding in the street is worrysome but challanging. It was so fun. The snow is great. If you do not have snow, my heart is pained for you. Are you jelious that I got to go out in the snow. What a life it is to live in Michigan.

Just wondering: Can a standard in-line muzzleloader fire 12 ga. BB shot? Would I need a "shotgun" barrel or would the rifle barrel be fine. If I seat the shot in plastic cylinder with a wad on top.

Has anyone fired any or all three of these pistols and have an opinion on their accuracy? I'm looking to get one and I know the MK 23 is all match grade, but for the price of the pistol for mainly killing paper targets, are the other two 'good enough'? I like the feel of the MK23 even though its larger, but a USP fits nice too. Can you shoot relatively tight groups with either of the two lesser models. And, how do they compare to a P229? I have shot one of those and did well, even though it felt 'tall', but I just like the HK's.

I grew up in Vancouver, B.C. and I remember Grouse Mountain and camping, etc. I live in Ontario now and married and I have two teenage boys. Husband doesn't like all that nature stuff and neither do my boys. What a drag.

My school is offering a program to rock climb and the people are setting up in our gym. I am going and a few friends of mine are too. They say that you can get hurt real bad, and you need to be fit, strong, and flexible. Im barely any of those, and you don't NEED to be, but I am really afraid I'm going to get hurt. It is my first time, and I don't know if I should back out. I heard no one got injured last year and it is fun. I also have a small fear of heights. We are rock climbing, doing balancing activities and going in a rock climbing tunnel. PLEASE HELP!

I have always been under the impression only one bass will be in a certain area and was just wondering if this was true. Went fishing the other day and am wondering if I missed some from moving from my spots too soon.

Hey, does anyone out there know of any good places to hike in northern Jersey? I'm looking to become a more active hiker, but there's so much out there that I don't even know where to start.
