Other - Sports - June 2006

I had stress fractures last xc season, and now I am back running. =)! I have to run 23 miles this week, and 30 next week. On days where I need to run 6 miles, is it better to run 3 miles in the morning and 3 again at night? Or is it better to do it all at once?

This is my question: Which is better for my bones? I don't want to get injured again!

Please state your source, and please don't answer if you have never ran before!!!!!

OK over the summer I'm aiming to get seriously fit as I've been lagging lately. I want to start a new sport come the end of summer but I don't know what, any suggestions?

I'm in the UK, not much of a team player, and I'm not really in to the martial arts thing- thanks!

hoo! hoo! as of yesterday, no more crutches! horray!

lap-swim and streatching allowed ONLY in the pool.

outside the pool, i'm ordered to wear a brace and "avoid uncessary use".

haven't played ANYTHING for a month & a half. instead, been watching friends play - parasail, wind surf, tennis, etc.

Obviously a bike and a wet suit. What else? Do you get suits to wear under your wet suit so you can just take it off and go straight into the cycle?
