Easily Lance Armstrong. He also won the most important battle and that was cancer. Having brain,lung, and testicular cancer all at the same time is the biggest battle and so he is the greatest athlete!

stupid question, whats an athlete?? if i think athletics is balance then i would pick a gymast..if it were brute speed i would pick a 100m racer, if it were endurace than a marathon guy...but if being an athlete regards all of the above as well as intelligence, then i would pick a soccer player
