I heard about this mens softball team that used to travel around the country and challenge teams. They only used 4 players, but never lost. I think they played back in the 70's or 80's. Anybody know anything about this?

OK I'm aiming to bulk up over the summer holidays (3 months); I have protein powder, creatine and Vitamin C as my suppliments.

I aim to go to the gym every week day night for an hour and a half (has to revolve around work) concentrate on two muscle groups each time, eg, shoulders and chest, then back and arms etc etc (all machine weights as opposed to free weights)...

I will eat four main meals a day although breakfast will be light, and go to the gym around 8pm.

Will this be sufficient for me to put on weight (very roughly how much?), and will I see the gains after 3 months, no matter how slight?

I relaise you can only give rough, but educated, answers but I'd be very grateful if you could let me know very roughly what to aim for.

Thanks!

I have done gymnastics and It is incredible about how much progress you can make just by going to one practice. Gymnastics is everthing in my life. My goal is to be on the women's olympic gymnastics team. Carly Patterson and a few other gymnasts I could reccomend are my idol. Isn's it amazing that Carly Patterson is only in high school and is already the best gymnast in the WORLD!!! I challenge everyone of you out there to set a goal and try to complete it. Have a great day and keep practicing. Remember 10 pints for someone out there!!!

OK I want to bulk up over the summer but my local gym only has weight machines, no free weights.

I've been told free weights are better in the long run but machines can actually help the beginner looking to bulk up, as they allow for greater weight to be lifted while teaching good technique- would this be true?

Thanks a lot

OK so I'm looking to bulk up over summer, looking to put on about 7lbs in 3 months- is this feasible?

Also I am a keen long-distance runner which doesn't exactly help my efforts to put on weight...someone suggested that the two don't go togther and if I want to bulk up I should (temporarily) scrap the running, as the major aerobic exercise will mean I'm burning away everything I build up with the weight training- is this true?

Thanks!

I do, and I enjoy it! I have a lot of people laugh at me about it, they think kickball is for little kids! I think there is about 80 teams in our adult league, still I never run into anyone that knows about it. So I want to know if you play in a league, and where you live if you do?
