I can't believe how few people gave you the right answer. I am 62 yo and I have been able to stop my skateboard since I was 35. My sons taught me about 1980. Where do today's kids go to school

you can go into a tailslide, powerslide to a stop at a 90 degree angle, or simply put your foot down. There is also the old fashoined way of crashing.

Put your foot on the ground. Or crash. People make softer landings, try to crash into them rather than walls.
