David Robert Joseph Beckham was born on 2 May 1975 in Leytonstone, England. As a student in Essex, Beckham won the Bobby Charlton Soccer Skills Award at the age of 11, making his football talent evident at an early age.
Beckham played for many years for Manchester United, but is now playing for the Spanish club Real Madrid. He is currently the Captain of England's Football team and probably one of the best executors of free kicks close to the opposition's goal.
