I read in an article that Tino would only come back to the UFC if Dana agreed to a boxing fight. Does anyone know if this took place. It was scheduled for some time after his fight with Shamrock.

Why does he do it and where did he come up with this idea? Is it to distract the opponent? I've read through some his Jeet Kune Do stuff but couldn't find an explanation of what the scream is supposed to be OR do.

I heard about a street fighting style developed in the city by a "black belt society" whom noticed people getting mugged and knifed everywhere. they had techniques like spitting in one's face as a distraction.

Does anyone know what its called?

I'm 6'2", 260 lbs, and just plain big. A buddy of mine, a little heavier than myself, wants to take some classes with me. And because I'm not being very experienced in martial arts training, I need some advice on what direction to go in.

i've researched self defense many times over the internet and people say that BJJ or Muay Thai is the best type. But, what if the person who is trying to assualt you/rape you knows BJJ?

This is purely hypothetical but it could easily happen. Not only would you be helpless if the attacker got you to the ground, the person would be able to get you into all sorts of nasty positions...

I started Judo about a month ago. After almost every class I come home with bruises, which I expect. The only thing is about a month ago i was put into an arm bar, and I got a bruise near my armpit. It's still there. I really don't care about that one, but yesterday I got similar bruises on my neck. Moreover, I feel like I'm the only one getting so banged up. Are there any judo players who know what I'm talking about, if these things will eventually go away, and how to help get rid of them (besides stopping judo of course)?

perhaps tensile strength or stiffness has summat t'do with it. why is the details section ten times longer than the question section?! the question makes me sound ridiculous. i'd be interested in the sword related properties of other metals, as well. thanks, in advance.
