As was shown in the Matrix, Neo was trained in many different fighting disciplines, such as King Fu, Karate, Jujitsu and so on. He incorporates many of the fighting styles in various fight scenes.

The things Neo did in The Matrix were not amazing because they were fake. Why don't you go to a local dojo and watch real martial arts from someone with real talent...say twenty plus years or so they can show you something amazing. If you want to learn what Neo did then go to acting school or become a stunt man...either way in the street your rear will be handed to you in a real fight.

The "style" seen in the matrix is completely fabircated. The stunt cordinator of the movies was Wo Ping, or someing like that. His style is mainly Wushu. He has consulted on many movies both in Hong Kong and in America. His big list is Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Kill Bill, Black mask 2, and a new movie starting Jacky chan and Jet li "Forbidden Kingdom. Wushu, also known as modern wushu or contemporary wushu, is both an exhibition and a full-contact sport derived from traditional Chinese martial arts. It was created in the People's Republic of China after 1949, in an attempt to nationalize the practice of traditional Chinese martial arts.[1] Most of the modern competition forms (套路 taolu) were formed from their parent arts (see list below) by government-appointed committee.[1] Some authors have surmised that the creation of sport wushu and its subsequent disassociation from self-defense and the traditional closed system of family lineages was an attempt to suppress what the PRC felt was potentially subversive aspects of Chinese martial arts.[1] In contemporary times, wushu has become a truly international sport through the International Wushu Federation (IWUF), which holds the World Wushu Championships every two years; the first World Championships were held in 1991 in Beijing and won by Clark Zhang.

Nothing you or any human will ever be able to do. You will never be able to fly in air, you will never be able to move that fast, you will never be able to leap like that or anything.

You can train in every kind of arts in world and revolve your life around nothing but martial arts. However you still would never be able to win a fight with more than two or three average men or maybe five if you're extremely lucky (did I metion EXTREMELY LUCKY?). So don't bother trying.

I honestly think you want to learn martial arts for wrong reason. So go and find another hobby such as become cheographer for Hollywood or get into filming industry.

Just Let you guys know one Fact.

"Kung-Fu" is not the fighting style.
Meaning of "Kung-Fu" is "well trained"
If you translate it directly , it means "Studied well"
"Kung-Fu", itself, means "Study"..

When Some one really is good at any sport and Impress people,
or he has passed a very hard exam,
Chinese people say "He has Kung-Fu".
It means He's well trained or he has been studied.

In Matrix 1, after, Neo download a lot of Fighting Style and
he says " I know Kung-Fu.".

But there in no Fighting Style called Kung-Fu.

Also, Neo did not really used any type of Traditionaly Chinese Martial art.

He's form in Matrix 1 was simiar to Bruce Lee.

and Martial art base of Bruce Lee is "wing-chun-gun"

i cant believe how no one here except for TMLeaf Fan was the only one that acutally answered the question correctly. Give that dude the 5 points or 10 points what ever it is. Because that was the exact answer to the question.
Those styles he mentioned are the exact ones that morphoues and tank showed in the film that they were going to inplant into his mind.

It's called Movie-Fu. It's choreographed moves that looks good on the big screen but have no one distinct style. In the movie he was supposed to have uploaded all different types of martial arts and combined them.
If you want to learn a martial art that looks good, go with Kung-Fu. If you want to learn an art that will someday save your life, try Karate, Aikido, Judo or Brazilian Ju-Jitsu.

If you remember from the first movie, he learned a multitude of styles through training programs, so he didn't use just one.

He use kung fu, notice how he uses his hands.
Also, if you want to learn any martial art. just realize that in a real fight you are never going to have the chance to use awesome tricks it comes more to using your hands not awesome kicks.
