yes, one sport that u might take up is shooting. u can do that ur whole life, and it will provide u with endless fun. there was a shooting pro in the 80s who took up shooting in his 40s and won 4 world championships, so age doesnt really matter

Actually with a enough hard work you can get into just about any professional sport you want to get into.

In the 70's the Philadelphia Eagles hired a 30 something bartender to be their kicker I think it was.

Most sports have a walk on at spring training, spring football camp, or mini camps for bringing in athletes from non traditional
backgrounds (College Sports).

Go for it at 22 you are at a great age to try, besides sometimes it is a blessing to get a mature 22 year old with life experience instead of a spoiled 23 or 24 year old collage graduate that thinks he is god's gift.

It would have to be golf. The top four sports are out the window unless you're a prodigy: football, basketball, soccer, baseball. Golf has a wide window as far as age range goes. There are rare occasions, but if you don't have the raw talent, then I'd say golf.

Jui Jitsu, mixed martial arts, etc. I didn't start until I was 19 (32 now). The "peak" age for mma seems to be in the thirties. For example, Tito Ortiz, Chuck Lidell & Randy Couture. It all depends on time and grade.
