is it too brittle? will it take and keep an edge, or have one restored, if not? can it be readily (or at all) alloyed with steel or titanium, and would this help? the goal is an unbreakable rust-free (destructive rust, at least) hyper lever and wedge, that will break steel, stone, heads, and the like, and remain unblemished. work with me, here.

I just completed my first JIU JITSU tournament. I lost my match. I was winning in the begining of the match but ran out of steam about 3 minutes into my four minute bout. I lost by decision. I have decided to dedicate my training to improving my short term endurance (I only need a full 4 minutes worth of full bore endurance for about 3-5 matches to win) What is the best training I can do to accomplish this? What is the best supplement to take? Will creatine help?

For all of you who know what iron thread (tiet sin kuen) and qigong is... i read somewhere that it also has extreme strength and health benefits.

So my question is, would this be as good or better than qigong exercises?

Community centers just have classes to take for you to take up your time. I want a serious class with authentic, rituals and training passed down from generations through generations. I mean seriously, someone who knows what they are talking about, from thier sensei/master, and not just teaching out of a do-it-your-self book or magazine.

Somehow, at the ninja classes I went to, most of them don't teach anymore about mind control, which was one of the most important aspect of it in old days. why do some schools exclude it now?

This question has been asked before many times. I ask based on my requirements.

I don't know how to fight. Period. I'm also blind in one eye. I want to learn how to handle myself in a fight - if the opportunity ever presents itself. I was in a situation recently where a drunk guy who had obviously fought many times before wanted a piece of me. Luckily I talked myself out of it...that time. The time's going to come where I won't be able to talk myself out of it and I want to be prepared.

Whether you believe that Bruce Lee was the real thing, or an overhyped actor, one thing is true- the entire martial arts community owes him a huge debt of gratitude. It was his movies in the seventies that were the flashpoint for the huge interest in the martial arts that continues today.

Most boxers woiuld get their butts kicked in a 1 on 1 against a mixed martial arts.

Refering to things like Vale Tudo and K1 and what the original UFC was all about.

I think its un reasonable for a boxer to earn millions for one fight when he is not the king of the world. And they know it.

I don't think it does as long as the fighter can strike and operate grappling and on the ground.

All these "Which style is more superior" is irrelevant, don't you think? I think it's the fighter that matters, and his knowledge.

I hate hearing from 12 year olds with black belts because that kind of thing is rediculous. Anybody's voice actually dropped? For those that are wondering I am twenty.

I need to settle a debate with my friend. I argue that Thai-boxing is a superior fighting style than the regular Western boxing because the additional lower extremity defense and offense that boxing lacks. My friend argues otherwise.

In other words, take two best fighters in the same weight class to fight in no-rule-holds(street fighting) contest, the Thai-boxing style pretty much wins all the time. Is this true?
