Belts mean nothing really, I have done martial arts for years. i have trained with some who have black belts who were not very well trained. And then I have trained with some white belts, yellow belts, orange belts who were very good.
Some schools hand them out like hot cakes... makes their school look good.
I find when you give a person a black belt, they get bossy and think they are teachers.
Just worry about the art, not your pretty belts :).

I have a white cotton belt thats kinda fading to a dirty yellow ive had it so long. If i keep not washing it, it will turn black.

A black one with a gold buckle

I had to quit karate after my first year, so i quit at an orange belt. I took Tung Su Do (how ever u spell it!)

2nd Dan years ago in SKIA.. I started in the old JKA until brown then our club changed to SKI.. I was told it just holds your pants up.. Oss
