Im a Black Belt with Seido Karate (a mix between Shotokan, Goju-ryu, Kyokushin, with some aikido) and I'm just wondering what people would say. And nobody should say "Muay Thai" because Seido's founder Kaicho T. Nakamura knocked out the then Muay Thai champion in a highly publicized event in the 70's.

I am a white belt who has been stuying Jiu Jitsu for about 6 months. I have lost my first two tournament matches. I am kinda bummed about it. The tournments where NAGA and a PA State tournament. I am curious if it is typical to loose the first couple times you compete or if I just suck at it. I know I am supposed to be going against people on my same level so that is why I wonder if this is common with six months of training. Anyway I am open to input from anyone who is experienced.

Also what weight class would you consider to have the best all around fighters (meaning what weight class is most formidable in the the absolute divisions)

You can pick anyone past or present as long as they actually fought in UFC at one time. Mine would be Pedro Rizzo VS. Tim Silvia.

I'm studying medieval sword fighting, and practising is done using steel replicas of swords which are not sharp, but can still be very hazardous if something goes wrong. I don't have money for proper safety gear, and almost nobody uses it - we rely on stopping our blows before the blade makes contact with the sparring partner.

Do you think this is sensible?

OK, this is one of the semi final matches of this year's PRIDE open weight GP set to take place at Final Conflict Absolute on September 10. There has been a lot of bad blood between these two fighters ever since their first match that ended in a draw in 2002. Both have come a long way and improved a lot since that time. Who do you think will take this? I think that it will be Mirko by TKO late in the first round.

i take taekwondo classes, and I see all the people bowing to the flag when they entered the class and when they leave the class
is that really necessary? cause we would bow after the student creed at the beginning and after the lessons
i don't wanna bow but i feel like i have to when i enter the class with the peers cause they're doing it

As of late, I've been going through a lot of emotional stress. To try to ease myself from that stress, I've decided to get rid of every negative influence in my life. At my dojang, there is this instructor that pretty much talks down to me every time I go there.

Don't get me wrong, I love martial arts. I will do martial arts for the rest of my life if I keep my legs underneeth me. However, I will not be spoken down to, and especially at this time of my life.

If I get spoken down to ever again by my instructor, it might lead to a bigger mental breakdown where people will get hurt. I'm trying to keep my sanity.

Would it be a good idea for me to quit?

I'm sick of watching movies where a woman defeats a man by a attacking his balls. That's a lie. I want to prove that kind of attacks are not effective at all. The balls of a real MAN can take anything from a weak woman. I challenge any woman to put me KO, using as many attacks to my balls as she wants. Any kind of attacks as long as they don´t use weapons. You put the conditions. I give you money if you win. (Please only WOMEN answer this question)

I'd like to hear real stories form girls that used this kind of attack. It was as effective for you or not? (only women versus men stories)
