My girlfriend isn't getting home until after 9 PM tonight; I get off work at 3 PM. I'm thinking this is the perfect opportunity to get hammered drunk with minimal nagging. However, I've been doing side work all week and haven't been to my cage fighting classes in five days. I should really go there tonight, but opportunities like this are scarce.

I can't do both. Which one should I do?

I see these weight straps that runners and aerobic people use. If I use them during my bag sparring and technique/form practice or hold a set of dumbells while executing punches or something will I reap any benefits? If so what?
