Why do people associate boxers as being the hardest on the planet??

Question

Most boxers woiuld get their butts kicked in a 1 on 1 against a mixed martial arts.

Refering to things like Vale Tudo and K1 and what the original UFC was all about.

I think its un reasonable for a boxer to earn millions for one fight when he is not the king of the world. And they know it.

Boxers are not the hardest men on the planets, martial arts and UFC are far more dangerous people.

If boxers like Tyson, Hamed etc. are hard why do they need minders when they go outside? A martial arts expert would tear a top boxer apart. Ask yourself- who would win in a fight between Bruce Lee and Muhammed Ali (both in their prime)? Lee hands down!!

There are many boxing associations in comparison to Mixed Martial Arts associations. They have more money to spend on events and prizes.

Everyone in the arena doesn't need to stand up every time the fight goes to the ground. It is easier to see the subtle movements in boxing rather than the slight technical movements during infighting in MMA.

It's probably the training and conditioning they go through. You've gotta be fair, they're pretty solid. I wouldn't class them as the hardest fighters on the planet, though, that's a dangerous generalisation. Get inside trapping range and get some grappling going on and they'll be as lost as a nun at an orgy.

I know but they need to make money quickly so they can get out of the sport and avoid brain damage. This begs the question, why do they start in the first place?
