I personally take ninjutsu, and one of the students told me that the Navy Seals use ninjutsu to defend themselves (not necessarily trained in the whole art of ninjutsu, but use techniques from it). I know they probably take various things from different arts, but I just want to know if ninjutsu is effective enough to be used in special combat.

Every fight was a great fight, It appauled me to see the audience constant booing every fight and every fighter, where was UFC 63 held at and what were their problems? I can understand when a fight is called early or there is a fighter who is disrespectful and hated by many (tito ortiz), or even to a doctor stoppage. I dunno I guess I would just like to think that mma has moved away from drunken hill-billies and into serious spectators who appriciate the skill and athleticism of todays fighters.

That guy has got some serious talent, but he's not as serious and motivated. Just imagine for a minute a BJ Penn with his incredible skills, but motivated to train for a full fight and take things seriously.

First two rounds were AMAZING. Third round looked like Hughes was beating on a dummy.

What did you think of the fight, what does this fight say about Hughes, Penn. Also, will Penn get some f*cking cardio for the rubber match?

WIKIPEDIA:
Lee had repeatedly humiliated Norris during a mock sparring session in the hotel hallway at the Long Beach International Karate Championships. Norris had offended Lee when he publicly claimed to be a better fighter than Lee. When word got back to Lee, he called Norris and openly challenged him, threatening to drive to his school to fight (Norris was teaching his black belt class at that time). According to eye witnesses, Lee made Norris hold the phone receiver up and shout in front of his black belts, "Bruce Lee is a better fighter than me!" Later, Norris wrote an Apologetic Letter to Lee; the original is currently in the care of Lee's student, Dan Inosanto.

I don't really want to know which martial art is best... but I do want to know the strengths and weakness of each martial style that way i can choose what I want to learn first based on that. And which arts I should avoid because of useless flashiness. I want an effective style. What are the pros and cons of each style?

Especialy at junior level, there is a vast difference in skill between competition level and club level and I can't tell you how sorry for the kids who go off with injuries taken as being overmatched by competition players. From my experience some coaches and pearants deliberately keep there wards grades low in order to obtain more trophies and glory, this leads to miss- matches and injury especialy with novices. Step up competition is the answer
