Well since they are both even, now they need to settle this. IF BJ was in better shape last night he would of destroyed Huges. I want to see BJ come back in better shape and beat Huges. What do you think???

BJ is not a natural 170lbs guy. If he gets help with his cardio he would be down to 155lbs where he used to fight.

BJ trained his butt off for this fight, he was already working with Ortiz and a ton of other people. The problem is he has to keep weight on in order to fight at 170. Matt Hughes does not, Matt Hughes has to cut mad weight to get there, so he will always be at the peak of his conditioning.

I realize he hurt his ribs, and that is part of fighting. His body still looked soft and he was breathing pretty heaving going into the 3rd. Sure, he may have had a rib problem, but I don't think he could have kept up the pace through 5, he wasn't able to keep up the pace through 3 with St. Pierre.

The only way BJ has the cardio is to fight a fast paced 5 round fight is at 155. BJ was supposed to be in the best shape of his life for this fight according to all his people, yet he still looked soft. And the reason is unless he takes steriods and puts on 20lbs of muscle and then gets cardio crazy, he isn't a 170lbs fighter.

He was a force at 155, and that is where he belongs truly. 170lbs he can't maintain without being somewhat out of shape.

If BJ can't submit him in one or two rounds he is done again. He had about the best shot he could have gotten and Hughes battled out of it. I would love to see BJ drop and rule the 155lbs division as a great champ for a long time. But 170lbs is too big for him, he can't maintain fighting at that weight.

I would want to see a GSP vs. Penn way before a Hughes vs. Penn again.

And GSP should realize if BJ can't submit Hughes, then damn near no one can. So I hope he is looking to win by K.O.

BJ Penn was in much better shape at 155. Now that the UFC brought that division back BJ should drop the weight. He's a GREAT fighter, but clearly the weight is an issue for him. Would love to see him fight Florean or Jens (again).

BJ Penn didn't lose because he was in bad shape. Read the post-fight interview I'm posting. I'm also looking forward to a rematch. I'm not making excuses, Hughes won flat out...but BJ would win against Hughes 8 out of 10 times.

I have been given Ken-Flo triumphing. His floor activity is purely too sturdy. i've got no longer considered Huerta Get examined nevertheless So perchance Huerta Can shop It On His feet and can Grind Out A Victory. yet while Huerta Wins it may well be a special determination Or A TKO interior the final Seconds. yet i think of Ken-Flo Will Win Submission interior the 1st Or 2nd. probable A Arm Submission. Americana Or Kimora something Of The Like. Winner Will Certanly take on the Prodigy And If Its Florian he will Lose, Bj Is a extra effective Submissionary(my own be conscious Hehehe) And Works superb Off His decrease back. If Its Huerta, i think of Huerta Has a extra effective probability For a sturdy combat against BJ. yet maximum probable Lose additionally. maximum probable Getting Choked Out.

I think a 3rd fight between hughes and penn will eventually happen. Tito ortiz has offered to help penn with his conditioning, if penn takes him up on that offer there will be a new welterweight champion. Hughes even admitted that if penn was in better shape and it went five rounds he would probable have won all 5 rounds(if you dont believe me read the article called "hughes gets revenge against penn to retain ufc crown" on the UFC homepage.

Dissapointing definitely. I was concerned w/ BJ's stamina coming into the fight. BJ is by far more talented and skilled, but Hughes's work ethic is far superior to BJ's.

I would definitely like to see a third match, but I have a feeling it would go the same way due to conditioning.

Hughes is the best welterweight champ ever, and BJ Penn didn't even deserve a title shot at Hughes. He lost to St. Pierre, and all of a sudden he got a title shot. If BJ did have the stamina Matt still would have beat him.

Sure that'd be great. Second fight was very entertaining even though Penn ran out of gas. He only had 6 weeks of training. I'm sure if he had more training time, he'd have a better chance at winning. Good for the fans.

good possibility, but since Huges got the sting of last time and it's taught him to train harder, he's gonna put everythin he's got in those matches so I would expect it to be another decent fight from both competitors.

And BJ will have the legal chance to do so for another title shot.

but BJ'd better do somethin' 'bout his stamina or he could have another loss on his hands and this time it'd be for good.

we'll just have to see.

I think Huges is going to win this match, he's stronger and more fit for the match.
