That guy has got some serious talent, but he's not as serious and motivated. Just imagine for a minute a BJ Penn with his incredible skills, but motivated to train for a full fight and take things seriously.
First two rounds were AMAZING. Third round looked like Hughes was beating on a dummy.
What did you think of the fight, what does this fight say about Hughes, Penn. Also, will Penn get some f*cking cardio for the rubber match?

About the punishment Penn took on the canvas.
1) McCarthy was right there
2) Penn is know to have some unique escapes and he was given fair time
3) While he was ROCKED he was still concious and alert, moving his head to try and evade blows
4) He could have verbally submitted at anytime
5) It was a title fight
I think that was a good stoppage on McCarthy's side, BJ Penn would probably agree too.

Didn't know about the injury, and I didn't see it happen. It makes sense though because he did NOTHING 3rd round he could barely walk, and I noticed him having trouble getting up after the bell in the second. That is very unlike someone who is just gassed.
