Wow some crazy stuff here...

Good thing you are 13 years old and taking advice from people telling you to gouge out eyes, strike/grab windpipes and kick someone's knees. Sheesh!

Now when we hear about some kid killing another kid in the playground by hitting him in the throat we will know where he got it from lol.

I could think of all this logically, and tell you all what should have already been said, avoiding fights etc. I realize that you are a young person because as you get older getting into a real fight is less likely than anything else, and you don't need to prove yourself to feed your ego.

Let's say for arguments sake you are a grown adult, you are obviously curious because maybe you want to know in a real fight situation.

Since what you descibe doesn't seem to be a self defense situation, meaning, help someone has got me, how do I defend myself. But instead seems like you are talking about a fratboy "I ain't gonna back down from you talking smack about me beotch!" type of harmless, non law enforcement involved fighting. I will give you my two cents since personally I see nothing wrong in a little male on male testerone festivities to blow off steam every now and then. Maybe that is the old Army dog in me, it's possible to fight without it being some self defense situation.

So here is how you manage to get in a good ol male dominance showing fight. Don't gouge out someone's eyes, or "straight finger strike to the throat" and "rip out their carotid artery"

First off, that stuff don't work. If you are lucky enough to get it off, then great you have permanantly injured someone and are likely to deal with legal matters. If you are unlucky and miss it (since the human body has a natural tendency to protect vital organs and spots) then you have escalated it from a simple fight, to a loss of life or limb situation and your opponent is going to repay that act in kind. Even if it is a "no rules" fight for your life situation, you better damn well know what you are doing, because you are escalating it into a situation where they are going to be willing to do the same thing to you. And at the end, most definately someone is getting arrested and someone is going to jail or both.

If I'm tusselling with a guy and he goes for my eye, well then all bets are off, and I will grab a brick, a rock, hell his eye. Just the way it is, if we are fighting and neither of us pull out a weapon, or goes for an eye or whatever, than I will end the situation without having to maim or kill the other guy. I have to deal with this on a regular basis as a bouncer in a bar. I get in physical confrontations with guys all the time, and as long as that guy doesn't go for an aggravated assault type thing (Grabbing testicles is considered a loss of life or limb situation law enforcement wise, they can shoot you for that) then I am not going to seriously hurt a guy. But he grabs for my eye, or my balls, or tries to hit me there. (Though I do wear a cup up to work, much to many's dismay) then the situation becomes one in which I have to step up my response.

What you are talking about is something that seems stupid to most people, mainly because it is. But good ol fashioned put up your dukes male on male fighting for the sake of ego. It happens, usually alcohol is involved, and there isn't really the need to destroy someone's or your own life by maiming them.

Solar plexus punch is good, so is a liver shot. (Right side of the body, just above the hip and below the ribs) both will drop a guy.

But hey, how bout completely male dominating him, with taking little to no damage, and the same for him? I say forget all that punch and kick crap. (Though a good solid roundhouse Thai kick just above the knee will surely put a hurting on a guy without destroying his knee) Choke his butt out. When he wakes up on the ground, and you have managed to not bust yourself or him up, it normally proves dominance, plus he has that moment of sheer panic as he is passing out where he thinks his life is flashing before him. Then when he wakes up from that weird dream that he was just having he is usually disoriented and doesn't know what the hell just happened. Just let him go when he starts shaking or snoring...

Seriously man, I get the "street fights" from young men, I used to do it all the time, I don't see massive harm in it, as both parties are willing to take it only to a certain level and not get any law enforcement involved, and that it ends there. You rarely find that, most of the time it starts that way and someone takes it too far and someone gets shot or something.

But good ol, drunken frat boy fighting, where you are never going to see that guy again, hell that is just old fashioned testerone filled fun. Totally pointless, doesn't prove anything but it is part of the male ritual. It's safer to avoid that, but there is no harm in a lot of those bar room/party type of fights.

But please, for the love of god. Don't listen to some of the above posters, don't go for throats, knees, and eyes. That type of stuff is when your own life is in danger, not when two guys are just trying to settle some macho beef. Groin shots, hey that **** happens, just be prepared to get hit back. You grab another guys junk, prepare him to grip you right back.

Since I know you aren't a woman in a streetfighting situation "I don't back down, that's not my style" seems like you are a young man, and will have, or plan to face situation where you and another guy attempt to handle a situation "like gentleman". Grab him, rear naked choke him, and be done. It's going to end up in a wrestling match on the ground anyway, might as well make it on your terms.

Don't go kicking people in the knee, or going for their windpipe. Save that type of stuff for when you are in fear of your own life, and you are in desperate straights, like when you get jumped by a few people who are trying to seriously end your life. And I disagree with many of the posters not every street fight is a "Life or death survival situation" there is plenty of smack talking that escalates into physical confrontation, it happens, and it can end without each party having to wind up in the hospital. You want to be able to explain yourself legally in any of those situations anyway. Cops roll up on two dudes fighting, and neither one of them are using weapons, they were settling some dispute and they aren't trying to actually kill each other, they will generally send both parties on their way. I see this all the time. But let you attack a guy unwarranted, kick out his knee, crush his trachea (windpipe) or tear out some guy's eye, you better have a damn good explanation, even if he started it. "He called me a punkass beotch" isn't going to cut it.

Rear Naked Choke, Mata Leon, Hadaka Jime, Carotid Artery Choke, it's all the same. Choking a guy is ten times safer for you, (you are on his back out of range of any powerful attack) and ten times safer then you attempting to apply blunt trauma to his soft tissue.

So my advice, punches/kick wise in a "ego vs ego" situation, (keep in mind, I am older now and I don't condone it, it's not worth it, but hey it happens especially when alcohol is involved) Solar plexus (bread basket, just below the sternum near the bottom of the rub cage in the middle, same place you give the heimlich), the liver (already mentioned above) the kidneys (located on each side of the lower back 6 inches or so above the hips, and just above the knee on the thigh where the muscle connects to the joint. That is a very easy to land and high percentage kick, and it hurts like all hell. You'll manage to not blow the guy's knee out, and you are not starting a nutkicking/nutgrabbing game of roshambo.

You want to knock a guy out, come across the chin.

I still stick with choking the guy out, flipping him over and sitting on him, so he wakes up humiliated, you may even want to add urinating on him, hell I don't know man, it all depends on your style. Just save the knifehand to the throat, gouges to the eye, groin grabbing stuff for when you are seriously in danger of your life, and then keep in mind you will probably be unsuccessful because the body has a tendency to guard those positions even on a person with no training, they aren't just going to sit there and let you grab their eyes, and they damn sure aren't going to be still enough for you to land some spearhand strike to the throat or hammerfist to the collarbone... that stuff sounds all good, and is based on medical weaknesses, it just is impractical because your opponent isn't a non moving dummy, and he legitimately wants to take your head off.

one hit strikes that "completely weaken" are a big myth, and do not work against EVERYONE who is a potential opponent; it's a combination of strikes that will weaken someone.

one strike that works to weaken an opponent is the solar plexus (just beneath the breastbone where the ribs connect). but it's an often well guarded area due to the fact that the opponents arms and elbows are there for blocking the strike; especialy if he's had any Martial Arts experience, because the opponent will know to protect that area

the diaphragm is located there and striking that point will knock the wind out of them for a few moments, and at that point you should just walk away before they regain their composure, because the longer the fight, the more chance of injury becomes greater either to you or the opponent.

but the best thing to do is avoid the fight as much as possible to show that YOU are not the aggressor, and it can work to your advantage if theres bystanders around because by showing that YOU are NOT the agressor, you could avoid being taken to jail, especialy if you were only defending yourself.

HI.... I cant believe what these guys are telling you, they are suppose to be men of martial arts... here is some wise advise depending on the situation?,, the first thing you should do is go to your local dojo and start some self defence classes this well teach you how to handle yourself.. i suggest a judo club this will cover a lot of ground with you and give you the confedence and discipline you need.....also try get this person to go along with you then you can have all the fights you like but in a secure supervised manner,,and it will make it a lot more fairer....if this is not an option then i suggest you go alone and learn what you need.. there is no quick fix to this,,in the end you will put him down and he will put you down this will go on and on and will get more and more serious... you will only learn how to do things properly if you train.........
good luck....

Going back 2 years ago, my fight went something like this. At that time, I had maybe 4 months brazilian jiu-jitsu training and was fighting a guy that had been doing karate for a long *** time. It wasn't a real street fight, was more of like a backyard MMA type of fight. We did 2 outta 3 and I won both. First fight, I jumped on his back and got a rear naked choke. Second fight, I shot in for a takedown which he defended, we grappled on the ground for a lil bit then I got a rear naked choke again. He didn't even hit me once. Got it up on youtube too, haha. BJJ is the best martial art in my opinion. If you have even a small amount of skill in BJJ and the other guy doesn't then it's total ownage.

It's obvious that you don't sound like you ever been in a fight, so is why you ask your question. If and when you do get into a fight, it's called survival. Martial arts does teach you how to survive, but also how not to fight. Now asking how to end it quickly, will only be the weapon against you, and you will be the weaken one.

a kick to the groin will usually work and do it as hard as possible.. now if he's a eunuch you might have to go for knees throat eyes or nose
always make sure to poke eyes. always remember there is some one always going to be able to kick your *** no matter how big and bad you might be. and fighting is not the way to solve anything and it usually hurts to try.
plus remember that almost all fights end up on the ground wrestling, in witch case what I just told you will be mostly useless.

Depends on how good your technique is. In traditional martial arts, one punch to the head or chest should end the fight. If you are hitting the person repeatedly, get a different instructor who actually knows what he/she is teaching and not just pretending to know. Personally, all I have ever had to do was perform a single block, a hard block, and that was enough to convince the person to walk away.

If you want to end it quickly walk away

Bottom line is if you truly street fight you're likely to shot or stabbed, and no amount of martial arts is going to save you from a bat, brick, knife or gun.

Your choice man... if you have to ask this question it is likely because you don't street fight... which means you're going to get smoked. Better you suck it up and walk away. Better to eat some crow and live another day.

Kick or grab to groin (causes severe pain, possible permanent damage if rupture occurs.)

Kick to knees, either tears the kneecap off or breaks the knees backwards. Can shatter kneecaps.

Straight finger strike to throat (or knife hand or ridge hand, can interfere with breathing, damage voice, crush windpipe, extremely painful)

Kick or punch to solar plexus Knocks wind out and interferec with breathing.

Straight punch to nose. Breaking nose interferes with breathing, is extremely painful and causes the eyes to watter even with light pressure, interfering with their ability so see effectively allowing yo to hit again, or excape.

Fingers to the eyes. Casues extreme pain, can cause blindness and damabe to the eyes if powerful enough.

Grab wrist and strike the elbow, breaks the elbow backwards.

Hammer blow to top of head. Can cause unconsciousness, if centered properly will seperate skull bones at seams.

Hammer fist or palm strike to trapezious muscles (back of shoulders near the neck.) Can cause pain and unconsciousness with little effort.

Those should get you started. Let me know if you need more.

Give a kick to the knees. It will immobilise your opponent and at the same time he will not suffer any major injury which may land you in trouble.

The throat..... because it will choke your opponent allowing you to buy time to do a finishing move, or if your attack is strong enough your opponent will not be in a position to fight anymore.....
