I have to do a formal program (showy demonstration - a time to show off my skills) in front of an audience to officially attain my Black Belt in Karate. In addition to forms, I have to do defense against multiple attacks, board breaking, and something creative to wow the audience. My biggest strength is my power, I have a great front kick and crescent kick, and I want to have an original theme. I was hoping I could get some creative ideas???? Any cool ideas for board breaks too??

Ever since that minor riot broke out in the ring with Coleman I havent liked him. I hope he gets knocked out!!! Plus the Emelianenko brothers are my favorite Pride fighters, along with Crop-cop.

Can you guys believe they are bringing Butterbean back to fight against Mark Hunt? Mark will destroy that fat old boxer!

Shogun & Randleman predictions? Go Shogun!!!!
Nakamura & Eastman? Go Nakamura!!!

I started to train a couple months ago under a level 5 Instructor who was trained under Dan Inosanto. Its way fun, super technical too, I was hoping someone may know of cool books or links to cool sites to help me gain more knowledge about this awesome art. Thanks in advance.

Man they dragged that Ortiz vs Shamrock thing out for a while. At least that fight was free. And some of the other fights were pretty bloody. Did anyone see that first fight with Matt 'the Hammer"? Dont get me wrong, back in the day Shamrock was dope but he was startin' to bug...anyone with me here?

he has the fastest hands in mixed martial arts history and if he got his stuff together he could probably challenge Chuck for the title in the rematch. He is a way more technical striker and at his best he is also stronger

I'm looking to take up a self defence class of some kind. But I want something that is practical, in the sense that not only is it totally effective for the street, in terms of technique, but, MORE IMPORTANTLY , it takes into consideration the phsycological aspect of confrontation (adrenal response, handling fear etc) Basically I'm looking for something as REALISTIC as possible. I'm currently reading Geoff Thompson's "Watch My Back" (anyone out there read it? that says it all for me; I'm looking for something that effectively addresses all of the issues he talks about in the book. I live in London-hope someone can help and point me in the right direction

I'm looking to take up the martial arts, but I'm looking for a style that combines a good amount of meditation (Tai Chi style) and at the same time an excellent, full workout on muscular strength and flexibility.

Any suggestions?

Also, does anyone have a good place that matches this, in NYC?
